probiotics while using antibiotics

We use probiotics. And yes, it’s not for the reflux as such but to maintain the balance of flora in the GI tract. But since a healthy GI tract aids digestion, I guess that some have seen all around improvement while on them. We’ve tried a few different ones. How dairy or soy free they need to be depend on how intolerant Sophie is since each child is different. We’ve never ordered ours online and pick them up at the local health food store. Since she’s on antibiotics, it might help to keep things on track.

Yeah, what Lori said above is correct. Some of the probiotics that we have purchased say on the bottle: “healthy digestive tract.” To me, that just suggests that it would help with reflux and we have found that it does for our kids.

I was going to suggest that you go to a local drug store like CVS because we give my son a chewable probiotic (acidophilious to be specific) and he loves it. It’s strawberry flavored (but white so no staining) and is milk free… but I see you are in Albania! I don’t know what you have there but I guess it is worth checking into!

Wow, I see it’s been days since you started the other thread about her rash/antibiotics… … I guess we all got busy with the holidays and all. Are things better for you?
