Question for those who have tried weaning

Hi ladies

I haven’t been around here for some time…a little crazy with my 3yr old

and 18mnths old

Anyway, I’ve decided to try a cold turkey wean

It’s been 2 days and I haven’t given my 3yr old his prevacid..can anyone

give me an idea when I can expect to see reflux symptoms?

I’ve heard 3-14 days

Thanks for any feedback….2 days and so far so good, but I feel like I am

walking on eggshells!

Good luck with the wean and let us know how it goes. It is so scary trying anything different with these little refluxers. Hope the wean goes well!!

No advice, Kim. We’re nowhere near weaning. Hope that he does well… BTW, that was the cutest Halloween costume I’ve ever seen. Keep us posted. (I’ll keep my fingers crossed you you).

When I asked Joel (who used to work at marci-kids) he said Dr. Phillips said you’d know in a few days if they need the meds or not….but I’ve heard others say it can take two weeks to know for sure. When I weaned Myles I walked on egg shells for a month before I finally was convinced he was ok without his Prevacid.

We just tryed to take Justice off his meds and at 5 1/2 days we knew he needed to go back on them. I hope for you though that you are done with meds.
