question for zegerid users

but how, if he is taking 48 mg a day? you are going through more than one 40 mg packet a day?

You know, I guess I never really pay attention… Now that you mention it, we would be 6 packets short per month based on his doseage. My husband takes care of refilling it, he must call it in every 3 weeks or so.

I guess I really haven’t paid much attention to it. Luckily,with our insurance and the coupon, we only have to pay $39.00 for 2 boxes (which is what they give us with each refill).

When I get back to work on Monday, I will try getting in touch with the person in Sioux Falls with Children’s Miracle Network and see if she can do some checking for you. Where do you live so I can give her as much info as possible? There has to be some way to get some help for you – Trace doesn’t deserve the runaround, especially when he was doing so well on the Zegerid. We did initially go through our Children’s special Health Services who hooked us up with CMN. We were able to get the help for her formula costs.

Robin, just curious… How come when some of you use the 40mg packets, you add 16.5ml of water to make the concentration 2mg/ml, and others don’t to make the concentration 4mg/ml. I guess you are doing yours at 2mg/ml?

Lori: I don’t know anything about the 40mg packets. We have always used the 20mg packets and mixed it with 6.5ml of water making it 2mg/ml. I don’t understand the whole 40mg packet situation. When we mix a 20mg packet with 6.5 ml of water, it makes 10 ml of Zegerid. We usually make a triple batch so I don’t have to mix it so often. I’m glad things have worked well doing it this way so I didn’t have to worry about figuring out the 40mg packet thing.

im in illinois, (in elgin) and when i contacted the childrens mircale network in chicago, they sounded really annoyed with me and told me that was a program for sick babies in their hospital.
