I’ve been on the elim in some form since Grant was a baby and now that he’s closer to being weaned to silk soy milk, I began to introduce forms of dairy back into my diet. I had been doing this slowly but yesterday we had a lunch and afterward I discovered that it had whey and many other forms of milk in it. Over the night, I experienced what my older son Jameson must often feel: nausea, cramping, headaches, reflux pain/heartburn…I’ve always been able to drink milk and eat cheese and eggs fine. It’s just been after this elim that I’ve had this type of reaction. I guess I need to take the intro more slowly but I wanted to know if others have experienced this same type of thing and if it’s possible that my toddler Jameson could also tolerate dairy if he was also given it in slow deliberate quantities? If my not having it and then having a lot of it can cause all those symptoms, then is it possible that it be avoided in his diet might be part of the problem? Just some info: while some eosinophilic cells were found at his infant scope, no hard allergy was detected with allergy testing at 10 mos. though I am reconsidering that we may need to test him again now at this age for more definitive answers….
