Seth just turned 3 and although sooooo much better than when he was an infant, still suffers from reflux. So, just curious to see what ages the majority of the kiddos on here outgrew their reflux. You can vote twice if you have more than one DC (I think- this is my first poll!). TIA!
Mom2Seth 2007-12-27 14:57:59 December 27, 2007 at 3:56 pm #46731AnonymousInactiveDylan was 2.5 and Carter, (we thought) at one, but now seeing signs of reflux at almost 2, so I voted over 2 for Dylan and I will wait until after Monday for Carter….
Seth is so cute in his picture!!!!December 27, 2007 at 4:30 pm #46732AnonymousInactiveI voted the still has it, but at only 15 mo, I’m hopeful. We tried to wean at 12 mo and didn’t do so well. As long as he’s happy, so am I!
December 27, 2007 at 6:54 pm #46742AnonymousInactiveAlana was between 9-10 months. Didn’t click the poll because it didn’t quite fit.
December 27, 2007 at 7:00 pm #46744AnonymousInactiveBoth of my boys were exactly 9 months old. We tryed weaning at 6 mos, 8 mos and finally 9 months. 9 months was the magic age for them. I’m realizing now how blessed I am for that.
December 27, 2007 at 7:46 pm #46747AnonymousInactiveWell, we’re still waiting too Tiffany, so don’t feel too bad (sigh). And happy belated b-day to Seth!!! I can’t believe he’s 3 already. Hope it was a great day.
December 27, 2007 at 9:45 pm #46756AnonymousInactiveWe still have it :(((
December 29, 2007 at 1:11 pm #46780AnonymousInactiveBryce just turned two and still has it. At this point I would just be happy if he would outgrow the vomiting part of it.
December 29, 2007 at 1:44 pm #46782AnonymousInactiveWe just tried to take him off but there was no way. It looks like we have a little longer to go. Colton will be 3 in March and we might try again then.
January 1, 2008 at 7:56 pm #46854AnonymousInactiveIsaac is 2.5 yrs old and still has it. A recent endoscopy showed previous damage 🙁
January 2, 2008 at 12:16 pm #46867AnonymousInactiveI just replied after 1 year, but it was probably closer to 1.5 years when we took Owen completely off the Prevacid and moved him totally to soy milk. I think he still has it a bit though – every so often he will do this thing that seems like he might be refluxing, but it doesn’t bother him at all. He’s not on meds and eats a regular diet with no foods out of the question. So in terms of how we live and treat him, he’s like a healthy reflux-free kid, but I think he might still have it and is just used to it/it doesn’t bother him.
Meanwhile, happy birthday Seth! Did you guys have a nice day? We’ve got Owen’s party on Saturday and the real birthday on Monday. I can’t believe it!!
January 2, 2008 at 12:36 pm #46868AnonymousInactiveI put after one..
he outgrew his ACID reflux a bit before one..but i think i can officially say this past month or so i havnt heard or seen him reflux or hiccup! I just thought to my self the other day that he is almost normal! I say almost because he still cant do cows milk.. but he can if its hidden.. soo we are almost there! Reflux free and much much better with the mspi.. :)!happy be-lated birthday from us too!January 2, 2008 at 7:55 pm #46878AnonymousInactiveI worry that this poll will discourage new members. I kind of want to put a disclaimer about how there are so many more parents with babies that outgrow it earlier. They just don’t have time to get hooked and stick around for so long!
January 3, 2008 at 1:50 pm #46894AnonymousInactiveKim, I was thinking the same thing and of course the category ‘still has it’ includes all ages! I hope not though, the point of my poll was actually because I am starting to fear Seth may not outgrow it since it seems everyone else has so much sooner.
Laura, good to see you. Happy Birthday to Owen! Hope he has a fun party. We had Seth’s really early this year on Dec. 1. It was his first big friend party and it was a blast!
