Reglan? Alternatives

My 2 month old son is on prevacid. 7.5mg twice a day. He weights 11.8 lbs and I think I need to up his dosage according to marci’skids. Unfortunately he is back out at the childrens hospital of philadelphia b/c he cannot keep down the feedings through his new gtube.

I spoke to one of the docs today and she said if a few of their trials w/ feedings do not go well, she is going to give him some meds.

She said Reglan. From the little bit that I read, I don’t think that the side effects are anything he should or possibly be dealing with..

Can someone give me some info on this. also are there any alternatives?

Reglan gave us a good scare and I would not recommend it at all.

Here is a recent post i posted about alternative meds you can use. i specifically recommend you try getting your doctor to prescribe domeperidone and if they won’t give in, try getting him on erythomicin (sp?). Baclofen is another alternative, but again i’ll try for the Domperidone first.

let me know if you have any question. We have been dealing with vomiting, allergies, reflux -g-tubes and gastroperasis for a while now.
