OMG! I am starting to go crazy if I am not already there.
I keep going back and try to give my little girl rice cereal and I keep thinking that it is causing issues. I have tried it today will be 3 times and I always notice troubles right away!I wanted to know what are the signs or rice intollerance if any besides really cranky and crying a lot???I’m afraid to got to bed tongiht as to fear what could happen.I spent 45min trying to console her during her afternoon nap and then the same thing happened tonight for bed and then now at 10pm we spent the last 1hr trying to console her again. I just gave her some Mylanta and then she finally calmed down and went to sleep. That makes me think it is that rice!Anyone with any suggestions will help.I did try oatmeal and that didn’t go over well either.March 20, 2010 at 8:29 am #66067AnonymousInactiveSorry, no advice. Hopefully others with more experience will reply, but sometimes few replies over the weekend. Hang in there.

Then I started with grits! I’m from the south and well I figured they are ground corn and he was on a corn based formula and he did great with them. Are you giving any other solids? We started with veggies at 5 months and then went to fruits and stuck with those until he was 9 months old and then we started with cereals and proteins and then at around 10 months I did yogurt and cheese (he was MSPI). I also only gave one serving of the new food everyday for 1 wk before I introduced something new and that way I KNEW if he was having a reaction. HTH.

Like today I put her down for her nap and all of sudden she was screaming her little head off. We gave her some Mylanta and she settled right down and went to sleep. I would say I thought it was a temper tantrum but then when we gave her the Mylanta and she settled down then I think her tummy must hurt and then I feel bad!She did pretty good going to bed tonight much much better than last night. So I am totally thinking it was the rice that was bothering her. We took her to Old Navy and she was an angel! It was my cute little girl back. Then we went to lunch today and was talking to the owner of the Greek resturant and of course you have to get into the whole dairy avoidance thing and he told me to give her Chamomile Tea. I was like what and then I came home and looked it up and it did say it is good for acid reflux. He also said I should have sheep yogurt (greek yogurt) he said it would be good for her and me. I almost tempted to try this stuff! He said he had 5 girls and 2 of them had acid reflux and his greek mom told him to do this and it worked for them. I swear sometimes you need to treat things with foods instead of all this medication! I will talk to GI doc we have an appt on Monday about all this crap!Until now thanks for the help. -
