We have had two biological kids and both of them have had reflux. We are hopeing our next child will be reflux free. No, not pregnant yet, but thinking about it. I know I’m crazy .
I really think all 3 of mine had a degree of reflux. My older two are 17 and 14 so it wasn’t really diagnosed back then. Both of them were on Nutramigen. I think about it now and I can remember all the signs being the same but less for the older ones. Colts was flat out horrible.
I checked “all”, but I only have 2, so I think that was the right way to do it. Both of mine were also MSPI. Actually, I think Dylan was/is MSPI, but Carter was just a very immature digestive system that needed time, as he is on EVERY food you can imagine now, but Dylan still has some issues.
I voted all because both of my girls had reflux, but Alex’s was really mild so I’m not sure if it should really count in a poll like this. If we hadn’t suffered through Kaelyn’s, I’m not sure that we would have recognized Alex’s.
My mom always said I was crazy to try to have another child after all the reflux/MFPI problems we had with Ben (our first). I told her that at least it couldn’t be any worse! Well, unfortunately I was wrong – Paige’s reflux and MFPI were far worse than Ben’s but at least I was armed with knowledge (and this site full of wonderful Mommies) the second time around! And now we have a HAPPY girl. And I still want to go for #3 some day….
My first two boys had absolutely no reflux, but Bryce has had it quite severely. I believe Bryce’s reflux is mostly contributed by his genetic syndrome. So I’m hoping our next one (when the time comes) is reflux free like the first two.
