I have to update on my little stinker! Naomi, I have thought of you these past few days…Sarah has decided, I guess, that she doesn’t like my singing. I have tried to make singing quiet songs part of our bedtime routine. The past several nights I have gotten either 1 of 3 things from her. Either a “no no” (while shaking her finger at me…hmm wonder where she learned that!
), or she’ll say “all done” and shake her head no, or she’ll actually put her finger up to my mouth and say “shhhhhh”. Hmmm, should I take a hint???
She enjoys singing other times of the day but apparently she isn’t interested at bedtime. LOL! Yep, that’s about what Claire would do until I came up with a song she hadn’t heard before. Then she would sit still and listen to it. She still asks for “new songs I’ve never heard before” all the time. I’m about tapped out!
I sometimes wondered too, if at that age, she knew that songs came before bedtime and either she didn’t want to go to bed and was trying to prolong it, or she DID want to go to bed and just wanted to get the show on the road! Bensmama2007-10-02 15:16:35
