I am brand new here and I really need your comments, suggestions, etc. I have a 5 month old sone (Nate) with silent AR and he used to be a good sleeper. Now all of a sudden he is wakeing every 2-3 hours at night. He is on the right dosage of prevacid for weight and I recently started solids to help the issue but it is not working. Can any of you relate? Does AR flare up around 5 months? I am sooo tired and I feel like I am creating bad habbits by answering to his SCREAMS at night. He does want to feed sometimes but most of the time he settles down after I hold him firmly. I can tell you this….the crib is inclined, he is already on Alimentum for tummy problems, he won’t sleep on his back, he is VERY gassy and fidgety. Levison drops did not help, neither di mylanta. Mylicon helps a little. Am I doing something wrong? I just want all of us to get our much needed rest!!
Hey there again and thanks for the reply. I feel so stupid that I didn’t associate this with teething…duh. I tried and tried to figure this out and that is sooo obvious. I have actually heard about reflux getting worse during this time. I have started solids too…didn’t tolerate or like rice but LOVES the oatmeal I just recently gave him…this could be causing some extra gas to maybe. I love that there is aplace to ask all of these questions…I will keep you “posted”…lol:)
