I started making Landen’s babyfood Sunday. I made 3 ice cube trays of organic apples and 3 ice cube trays of sweet potatoes and put those away for later. I started mixing in 1-2 cubes of the apples with his oatmeal (soy free beech-nut which he’s been eating for over a month with no probs) so the apples are all that is new.
He did fine on Sunday and yesterday and even slept better the last 2 nights than he ever has before. The only thing I’ve noticed is that he’s tossing and turning a ton in his crib (thrashing around) and puking up a lot of what he’s eaten, then he’ll settle. Then this morning, he was fussing and clingy and then he spit up a ton of slimy, thick looking spit up all over his exersaucer and then again all over me and the floor when we were playing.
So the confusion is here. His 2nd tooth isn’t all the way through, there is still swollen up gums covering it. So I don’t know if the tooth can be bothering him THIS bad and causing my SILENT refluxer to fuss and puke suddenly, or if the apples are doing this.
Should I stop the apples or continue them and wait for that tooth to finish popping through? Do I move onto sweet potatoes assumming that the apples are just aggravating his reflux?
In the meantime, I really do think it’s BEYOND time for a dosage increase for Landen. I’ve put in a call to his Ped GI again.
