I just have to share this story. Our 4 year old woke up this morning, got dressed and came out into the living room. I said she needed to get ready to go to daycare as I was leaving for work in a few minutes (work and daycare are 30 miles away from home). She immediately began crying and saying her tummy hurt, hysterical crying, clinging to me, the whole nine yards. I looked at my husband and wondered what do we do now? We have had some stomach issues in our house in the past week but we thought she was over it. He didn’t have to work until later today so he said he would stay home with her and see how things went. So Abby and I took off for town. I was almost to town and I called my hubby. He said that 10 minutes after I left, Kayla was jumping on the couch, watching tv and painting pictures. Little actress in the making. My husband said to her then that she should get ready to go. She looked deep in thought and said something like “but my tummy maybe still hurts”. My husband said if she doesn’t go to day care, she can’t go to Grandma’s this weekend – boy did she move her little butt. She absolultely loves her daycare but last weekend we got a trampoline and also bunk beds for her and she has made a tent in the bottom bunk that she thinks is sooooo cool. I had no idea that kids at that age can already manipulate their parents. Maybe someday she will be an Oscar winner
Anyway, just had to share a little humor – hope everyone has a nice weekend!!
