hi guys, do you think its o.k to do half soy/ half rice.. or maybe like 2/3 soy & 1/3 rice milk?
its mainly because of all the scary things about soy.. soo i thought i’d not give too much.. but enough for the fat .. and also the rice has b12 and soy does not.
thoughts?
oh ya and he eats avocado EVERY day for extra fat..
Lauren, I don’t see why not. Seth can’t tolerate soy so we do all rice milk but we supplement with one Pediasure a day to make sure he gets all the fat and protein he needs. That may be an option too.
Taylor is allergic to milk and corn as many of you know. She is currently on soy based formula and now that she is over 1 years old I talked to the nutritionist about what to switch her to and she suggested Organic Edensoy Extra Vanilla milk and she said since it does not contain all the vitamins that regular Whole Cow’s milk does we should give her a vitamin supplement as well even though she eats solids she suggest a liquid vitamin called Pedia-vit. I haven’t switched her yet since I still have quite a bit of the RCF formula left.
i saw the extra vanilla ones and they have A LOT of sugar! why not the reg. or reg. vanilla? and why that brand? we do the silk soy and there is no corn in it either.
I think she suggested that one since it was the one that had the most vitamins in it compare to the others. But I honestly don’t know why. I truly don’t see much of a difference either.
We do the Enhanced Silk Soy (which includes B12). It’s in a light blue container. I bought the Kids Vanilla Silk Soy at one point, but it’s sugar content was really high, so I switched her over.
