Seth is currently still on Alimentum in the morning and occasionally at bedtime but does get rice milk throughout the day. I have been chicken to do a milk trial but know I can’t put it off forever. I was thinking of trying the Good Start 2 formula which has the comfort proteins but not quite as broken down as the Alimentum and if he tolerated it, then do a milk trial. Am I being overly cautious and should I just try the milk? He does seem to be tolerating some hidden dairy and did not get loose BMs when we tried yogurt as he did in the past although I pulled it anyway since I was not sure if that was aggravating his reflux which has really been bad at night lately.

I’d try the Goodstart first. Sounds like a good plan.

Does Seth do well with change? If not, I would just do a milk trial at this point. He is nearly 16 months old and may be over his MSPI. We had luck right at 18 months and were able to switch from Alimentum to 2% milk. If you aren’t ready to go straight to milk, I’d stick with the Alimentum for another couple of months and do the switch then.
