My pediatrician has given me the okay to try to switch my daugher from Alimentum back to milk based formula. I am just not sure which one to use, any suggestions?
I know many people here use GoodStart for dairy trials, since it has the “comfort proteins’ and is supposed to be gentler on their tummies. If I ever get the nerve to trial Dagney on a “regular” dairy formula, it will be that one!
Yes, that’s the one that seems to get the best “reviews” on this board. Some say that the dha/ara is hard on their tummies, so you may want to try the one without it. Good Start makes both.
i did goodstart because it is supposed to be easier on their digestive system.. and it is. but, if i could have done it again i probably would have done something like the reg. ones enfamil or similac to see if he really could handle dairy.. i dont sounds crazy of me.. but sometimes i think he is doing”o.k” not great.. only because it helps him digest it.. and he wouldnt be able to if it wasnt already somewhat predigested.
i believe goodstart is whey protein, and gentlease is casein. in the goodstart ads that i have seen, they call whey protein “the highest quality protein”, but i am not entirely sure what the difference is.
