I am going to try switching my daughter’s formula to Alimentum today from regular Enfamil Lipil (which she has been on since birth). Is it best to switch cold-turkey or gradually? If I switch gradually, should I do it every other bottle or just 1/2 and 1/2 in each bottle? I’ve been doing every other bottle.

The good news is, she likes the Alimentum (thickened with rice) and sleeps well afterward.

If she is taking it without a problem, I would go cold turkey. The only way I would go slowly is if she didn’t like the taste, and then she would refuse.

Hope it’s a good switch for her!

Cold turkey will get you faster results if the formula is the problem. We always had to do a gradual switch because of taste issues.
