Yes, we would just cook the pasta and then pour the jar over it and blend. It looked really gross but he really liked it. I think we would cut the pasta pieces pretty small – I know that he really liked ziti and we would cut each piece into 4 or 5 pieces so they were almost like cheerio-sized. We would also add some meat into the mix and then would put it in the bowl on his tray or would just pour the whole mess onto his tray (since he would sometimes dump the bowl for us anyway). Then he would eat it as finger food.
With the tomato sauce, I would usually do the same thing – cook the pasta and the meat, and then just pour the tomato sauce on top of the whole mess. I usually cooked the meat in olive oil because that was when we were really worried about his not gaining weight and I was trying to add as many calories as I possibly could.
