My children’s doctor told me that when a baby is teething it can take weeks or months for a tooth or pair of teeth to come through because the teeth actually move up and down inside the gum until they finally break through.
Gnawing on things actually helps teeth come through and doesn’t always indicate pain. If she’s not irritable and not in too much pain, it would be better to not give tylenol or benadryl too frequently. Tylenol is hard on the liver, so you don’t want to use it daily for weeks or months. Benadryl is great for ocassional use but can have side effects if used too frequently.
Teething is one of those maddening aspects of parenting. There’s just not alot that you can do about it.
