For those who suffer from depression and/or anxiety disorders please help!!!

My depression and anxiety has gotten so bad that I am currently taking:

300mg Wellbutrin

30mg Lexapro (upped from 20mg)

0.25 Xanax (new; just added)

It is all work related and I have to say that I am so happy that after this Friday, we will be on summer vacation until August……..oh I am sure you all have guessed I am a teacher. It is not the kids that are doing this, rather the other adults in the building……..it is like being in high school. They scold the kids for acting this way, but they act the same. I did not realize that there was such bad back stabbing with grown adults? I neve had these issues in my other school, which was in the inner city!!!

I am hoping that this change in meds will help me out for the next few days. I know that you are probably saying that I should just suck it up and deal with it, but I have been hurt so badly that I really think it is going to take me a while before I can totally deal with it. I am actually starting to break out in hives just thinking about going back tomorrow. What would you ladies do? My doc said she would give me a medical release, but I do not want those people to know that they pulled one over me…….what do you think?

I’ve suffered from anxiety all of my life. I’d suggest some counseling and maybe a med change if you are not getting relief from your current meds.

Good luck. I know how it feels. Anxiety is the pits.

I have suffered from major panic attacks around 15 years now. I am having troubles getting my doctor to leave my medications alone. He wants to lower them but the lower dose doesn’t work. I think you might need to consider another med if yours aren’t working. I know how bad it can get I really hope you get some relief soon.

I am a fellow anxiety sufferer and totally understand not wanting to let the others know that they are the reason for your anxiety- that can give really cruel people more ammo which can make you more anxious. I also know how hard it is to stick it out, even just for these last few days but that’s wht I would (try) to do. Finish your year, enjoy the kids and then have a great summer!
