Lori, it’s too bad we live so far away. I wish we could help each other out. I have nobody to help me either, and I really do feel bitter much of the time. I try to let it go because I know that’s the healthy and “Christian” thing to do, but it’s so hard on a daily basis.
Today’s a great example of how insensitive he is. He was home sick (a cold for pete’s sake and he acts like he’s dying). So, I took the kids out all day and didn’t return until 5 pm. BTW…I have a cold, too and I have been up since 4 am with Myles, but mommies don’t get to call in sick. So anyway, I got home at 5 and played with the kids for another hour and a half while he vegetated in his recliner. FINALLY at 6:30 I asked him to get up and help me with their bath. He was mad and shot me a dirty look. Evidently a whole day home alone wasn’t good enough for him when he has a cold, but I have to take care of the kids by myself when I have the flu, after childbirth, after gall bladder surgery, and every other day of the year.
Sorry. And I’m the one who says you shouldn’t be bitter.
