InactiveIsaac was up 12+ times last night and he never normally gets up at night! We stopped his protonix a week ago and while that could be the problem it just doesn’t seem like reflux. He is also teething with 4 molars (2 almost all of the way thru and 2 half way) and now he is getting his first eye tooth at not quite 13 months old. I am also wondering if it is an ear infection b/c it has been a little bit since his last one. What would you do? I am kind of leaning towards seeing how tonight goes but I would feel bad if he is in pain!

InactiveI’m sorry to hear this! How does he seem today? It could definitely be
the teeth – molars are bad enough but everyone tells me that eye teeth
are the worst! If he seems a little better today I guess I’d wait and
see how tonight goes and maybe give him a dose of both Motrin and
Mylanta before bed?July 14, 2006 at 10:56 am #11478Anonymous
InactiveWell he is trying to take a nap and keeps waking up and screaming even with motrin so I really am worried…….so i called and made an appt this evening. I will let you know if it is just teething which i suspect!

InactiveI agree – if he can’t nap and is in that much pain definitely get him
checked out. Keep us posted and I hope he feels better soon!July 14, 2006 at 1:11 pm #11495Anonymous
InactiveMy guess would be the reflux. We were recently told that more than half of all reflux episodes happen at night. I agree though, if it seems like something else, get him checked out. Better safe than sorry. There must be something in the air, Hailey has been up at least 10 times (maybe more, I’m too tired to count) for the past week or so. AHHHH! I feel your pain. Hope he’s better soon.

InactiveGreat idea to get it checked out – especially before the weekend. Hope everything turns out OK!!

InactiveWe just got back from the ped. He said that Isaac has a virus that has been going around-runny nose, upset stomach, headache, irratibility and achy feeling. He said that the children with this virus have not been able to sleep much but it shouldn’t last longer than 5 days. At the end of the virus Isaac should get a rash head to toe. He said just to give him motrin and tylenol until it passes and lots of liquids other than formula.

InactiveDoes he mean roseola? Gosh, I hope he’s feeling better soon. On a side note, how’s the new job going?

InactiveThe first thing that came to my mind was new food. Did Isaac get anything new?
Hope he is feeling better!!!

InactiveLori-He didn’t say roseola so i am not sure but that is what it sounded like to me too. The new job is soooooo easy and I love it! I started at only 2 nights a week and now it has become a 5 day a week (20 hours) thing. The only thing i hate is all of the germs that Isaac comes in contact with but I cannot make him bubble boy can I?
How is Hailey lately?Ann Marie-No nothing new at all…….he really doesn’t eat much at all anymore just formula. He didn’t gain any weight in the last 2 weeks but he didn’t lose either so I am sort of thankful at this point!
