InactiveShe LOVES bread – she’d have eaten even more with my sister last night
if we’d let her. She’s generally eating 2tbsp oatmeal made with fiber
juice and mixed with 2 ounces fruit in the morning (she usually
finishes most of this) and then a handful of cheerios. Sometimes an
ounce of formula in cup but sometimes only a couple sips. Lunch is
usually a jar of chicken/sweet potatoes or chicken/mixed veggies (I
used to make and blend chicken soup for her but she likes the jars
better) followed by either a chicken nugget (she’ll feed herself 1/2-1
nugget – I buy them at Whole Foods and bake 1-2 at a time) or
half a piece of bread. She’ll usually have 2 ounces juice either with
lunch or in her stroller afterward. Dinner is usually 3 tbsp oatmeal
made with formula and mixed with 2-3 ounces of veggies, followed by
some sort of fruit puree for dessert and maybe some Cheerios or puffs.
She has meals first and her bottles 1-2 hours later.I use the Earth’s Best oatmeal since I like that it’s whole grain. I’d
like to get her eating more fruits/veggies as finger foods but so far
she only likes the nuggets, breads, cheerios and puffs by finger. Going
to try some roasted pieces of carrots and zucchini tonight though. That’s GREAT that Ian is doing well and tolerating those foods! I’m
looking forward to hearing about the feeding clinic visit – sounds like
it went well. Hope to see you guys soon…June 12, 2006 at 3:27 pm #9631Anonymous

InactiveOh no!!! That’s the worst – I’ve actually taken to copying and pasting a long post sometimes just in case.
Of course no sooner did I say that I don’t see any problems with the
formula and Marisa has half woken from this nap three times crying –
not like her at all. But I suspect/hope it’s more teeth from the look
of her mouth – and probably not the Enfamil…June 12, 2006 at 3:58 pm #9633Anonymous
InactiveOh, poor thing. I’m sure it’s no biggy. I don’t think the formula would be fine for so long and then do that right in a row. Teeth are killers! Ian just chews his bottle-so stressful.
I will do that-write it in word and copy over. Good suggestion!

InactiveI think she was/is just overtired. We had a REALLY busy day yesterday
and she had a ton of fun with her grandparents, Aunt and cousins but
definitely wore her out.Is lactose still a concern or can you try Hylands for Ian? Or other
Boiron makes a product called Camilia (or something like that) which is
basically the same without lactose. You can give either one 15 minutes
before a bottle and it should help some. Hylands also makes a teething
gel that I like. -
