InactiveIs it normal to feel like I’ve done something wrong??? I felt SOOO weird last night not giving Sarah medicine! I guess when you do something everyday for a YEAR it’s going to feel different to change. I just felt like I had “messed up” and the poor girl is going to be miserable now because she had ZERO medicine yesterday. Eeeeeeeek! I’m hoping this last wean goes as smoothly as dropping the other doses. Just venting here.

InactiveDon’t worry…it is weird everytime I reduced Brianna’s dose I would think her body was just going to go into rejection. But she did fine. We still do our 1/2 of pepcid complete at bedtime, so if you do fine Sarah has some discomfort as we did, that might be something to try. That way there is no more prescriptions or timing…this just helps with any flare up she might have at night. Good luck!

InactiveThanks for asking! So far so good I think. She’s been on zero zegerid since Monday. She has had a few whiney melt downs but I think it’s more developmental than medical. I’m still hopeful! I’ll feel better once it has been 2-3 weeks!!!

It gives me sooooo much hope when I find out about little ones possibly conquering this whole yucky thing. Love it!!! I hope Sarah continues to be med-free!! Yay!August 15, 2007 at 1:26 pm #41132Anonymous
InactiveAmy, sorry I’m seeing all this too late. Congrats on your new position. That’s great. I’m glad that Sarah’s doing so well. How are her tubes?

InactiveThanks all! I started a new thread a few days ago (should have probably just added to this one). We ARE back on meds. Just the night dose. She was not herself, really short tempered, cranky, whiny…you name it. It’s only been 3 days back on meds. and I haven’t noticed a HUGE improvement yet, but I’m almost positive it was reflux rearing it’s ugly head. I’m OK with just being on one dose though. We’re ALMOST there! Thanks again everyone!
School starts on Monday and I’m realllllllllllllllllllllllllly nervous. I hate change and new places and people. Hopefully I’ll get into the swing of things quickly and I’ll ultimately be happy that I made the job switch.
