Real short those that don’t know, I found blood in Justice’s stool about week ago and prior to that he was throwing up and had a low grade fever. For the past 3 days his fever has been 103. I can’t stand dr’s! Let me get that off my chest first. We went to the dr last week and she took stool samples. We went back in today for the results. Stool samples, negative, and flu test negative. I found blood in my stool last night and now have a 100 temp. The dr just told me to come back if things get worse. I can’t stand going to the dr! All they ever say is go home, drink plenty of fluids, and get plenty of rest. I’m not looking to get meds. I just want answers. Why is there blood in our stool and shouldn’t that be of concern? It seems like they never have answers for us when we go in. That is why I am so reluctant to go to the dr.
You should ask exactly what the stool tests were negative for. There are lots of different tests, though with the elevated temps, I suspect that they’re likely thinking just gastroenteritis, right?
Also, what is a “flu test”? Do you mean stomach flu, or regular flu?
Those are really good questions that i don’t have an answer to. They didn’t tell me what they thought it was. That was part of my frustration. As far as the flu test goes, all I know is they swabbed his nose. I would assume regular flu though.
