yes, celiac blood tests are not very accurate on young children. they don’t always produce the antibodies when they are young—i don’t know why, though. i have heard people say it alot on the celiac board, but our ped gi also told me that the tests are not accurate under 3 yrs.

Brooke~ good luck getting some answers. I know it can be heartbreaking to not know.

Anne~ that’s very interesting Lucas has the same reactions to wheat/gluten as Kayleigh. Writhring,screaming, crying, loose bowels and poor sleep. We still have not done anymore “official” testing. I’ve used our two most recent “accidental” ingestions as my test.
