They melt pretty quickly in the mouth. My four and two year olds still love them!! I haven’t tried them with Myles yet because he has too many feeding issues right now and I am not going to give him any table food/finger food for a while.
My girls started them at about 9 months. They dissolve faster than cheerios, so they really don’t need any teeth to eat them. They are pretty nutritious; mostly whole grains with some added vitamins and minerals. They do have some sugar, but what doesn’t?? I don’t consider them empty calories because they are very low in calories and contain a fair amt. of vitamins.
I started them around 6 months old and i cannot remember how many teeth Isaac had then. They are ok nutritious but help them learn to self feed more easily b/c they dissolve so quickly!
DD lives off of those things, but she has issues with milk and soy so we use the corn ones (only ones without soy). She started around 5 months, when she didn’t have any teeth. They are a great tool for self feeding, and development of the pincher grasp. She has never choked on them because they dissolve very easily. He’ll probably be screaming for more once he figures out how good they are. Also, started dd on peices of saltines crackers and she is doing great with those too.
