I must say, mine was EXCELLENT at what she does, and not even militant about bfeeding in general….but it was her way, or her manner and tone and combination of being very brisque and businesslike about something that is anything BUT brisque, you know? She helped me learn how to teach Lucas to nurse over a ten week period– he couldn’t latch on. I absolutely could not have bfed without her (we consulted with four others before her) and so I’m a HUGE fan in some ways, but scared of her, too!
And Christine, she almost nearly said that to me early on….for every mother who thought her baby was fussy and “might” be colicky, she had this mantra of “No dairy, soy or nuts for two weeks” and she was so serious. I heard her say this to so many folks and it’s good advice, but was offered in such a soup nazi way!!!
Funny.
But probably a little scary when
you’re in the midst of a nursing crisis and need help. I could see why
you wouldn’t want to call her.
