InactiveI am thankful for having such a great relationship with my son’s. I know too many parents who don’t even talk to their children.
I am thankful that although my father won’t be here with us this year, He is safe and at home. I know too many fathers who won’t be home this year.
I am thankful that it will only be the five of us this year for dinner. I know too many people who won’t be eating dinner at all.
I am thankful for the new friends I have made. I know that some people don’t have any friends.
But most of all I am thankful that Jesus found it in his heart to die for us so that we may live.
What are you thankful for??????

InactiveI agree! He is the reason for this season….and HE is the reason I have been able to make it through all that has happened this year.
I am also thankful to be blessed with my beautiful daughter. So many of my friends are having a difficult time conceiving…I feel so blessed to have been able to have a child. 🙂

InactiveI totally agree with what everyone is thankful for who has posted above. God, Kids, family, home, friends and board members – who could possibly ask for anything more!!
Don’t forget the real reason for the upcoming Christmas season – He only gave these little refluxers to those of us who He knew could handle such a special gift from Him!! He was feeling lonely during the night when everyone with non-reflux babies were happily asleep in their beds so He knew that we would be up talking to him all night long (at least when we weren’t on this board anyway

InactiveI got teary eyed from your last post Robin…that is such a beautiful way to think of it…I know I was wide awake so many nights talking to Him.
I am thankful for my Addy. She has changed my life for the better and God knew what he was doing when he placed her in my arms.
I am thankful for such a loving and wonderful husband.
I am thankful for my Mom…I couldn’t make it without her.
I am thankful God blesses me daily.
I am thankful that even though we are not wealthy, some how God provides what we need and continues to bless us.
I am thank that God is there to listen to me.
I am hopeful that others will find what I have found in God’s love or their own beliefs.

InactiveI am thankful that My husband is here with us again. Tomorrow is Aidan’s first birthday, he was born on the day we were suposed to go to court and sign our divorce papers. I was having a planned c-sec on dec 6th, but I wasn’t ok with the fact that I was deciding when my son was to be born….I kind of wanted God to do that. And he DID Aidan was born exactly one day before I was scheduled to have him…and because of that my husband and I decided that it was a GIANT sign that we shouldn’t give up.
I’m thankful that my older son Austin is doing so good in school and that he is such a wonderful loving little boy and brother.
I’m SERIOUSLY thankful that we got the ok for Aidan’s surgery on the 13th, I just hope it helps get rid of these ear infections…
and I’m thankful that my parents have given up so much to help us and to help me.

InactiveJill, That’s such a wonderful story. I hope and pray you and dh have years and years of happiness ahead of you.
Your story makes me have a little hope for my dh and me. Things have been bad since day 1 and we’ve come close to divorce many times. Things are just a tiny bit better lately so maybe there’s hope for us, too.Robin, what you said is so true but when I first read it I laughed to myself and thought, “God if you’re ever lonely in the future please give me a bad case of insomnia instead of another reflux baby.”

So what am I thankful for?
First and foremost, I’m thankful for forgiveness of my sins and the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour.
Second, I’m thankful for His mercy, His grace, and His justice. I named my son to honor Jesus and what He means to me. Myles Justice Mitchell. Myles means merciful and Mitchell means soldier. So Myles’ name is a tribute to Christ, a Soldier of Mercy and Justice.
I am thanful for my three beautiful children. At my age I am so blessed to have been able to give birth to three perfect and healthy children (besides reflux which in the big scheme of things is pretty minor). I had my first at 37, and I know so many women much younger than me who can’t conceive or can’t carry a baby to term.
I am thankful that I live in a country where I can freely teach my children to worship God. I am thankful that I can keep them well fed and that I have access to good health care for them.
I am thankful for all of you on this board who’ve helped me get through those long, tedious, frustrating, and sad reflux days.
I am thankful for many, many things. I hope one day I can be thankful for a marriage that will last and bring happiness. For now, I’m thankful that dh loves his children and they love him. My children have a daddy who loves them. Many children sadly do not.
