Caracream is not a drug, but it is used to help administer certain forms of PPI’s. It allows you to give certain forms Prevacid and I think Omeprazole without following the empty stomach/30 minute rule.
Someone more knowledgeable can probably explain it much better than I can.
CaraCream is basically the original Zegerid. It’s what marci-kids developed that later turned into Zegerid. It’s a way to turn PPIs into a stable buffered suspension. If you look in Laura’s intro she’ll have more info on it there. It’s not terribly readily available within the US anymore, but I do believe that pharmacies that carry FlavouRx is one way to get it.
It’s absolutely user-friendly
method to get prevacid into kids who aren’t eating/drinking much. I’ve aim both
the prevacid packets & capsules in applesauce & found the caracream to
go over the best.
