So ds has been eating wonderfully until today. He only goes to daycare a few days a week and they said he is refusing all food again today and has a ton of gas. My husband forgot to give him his prevacid this morning. Could that be doing it?

That definitely could be doing it. Uncontrolled reflux looks a lot like
gas – it may really be acid at the base of his esophagus. Can you go
there on lunch break to give him his Prevacid? Or do they at least have
some Mylanta they can give him?

My husband just stopped and gave him his medicine and fed him his bottle and he took a little over 6 ounces. I didn’t realize how important one dose of medicine really is for him.

Glad to hear he got his medicine and ate! Yes, babies metabolize the
PPIs really quickly so a missed dose can make a huge difference.

Also i think that the prevacid is new to him right? That makes a big difference in a missed dose too!
