Ok that doesn’t work with my mil b/c she let my dh fall off of the table in his pumpkin seat. Luckily he wasn’t hurt!

oh lori–i could’ve written your post! i remember holding riley as he screamed and fussed, looking out the window and thinking, ‘this is not my life, this is not my life….’ i too had a lot of pregnant friends who had fantastically easy babies. i’ll never forget when riley was three months old, i got a raging ear infectiong. i had to take him to the dr’s with me. when the doctor saw him (amazingly, he wasn’t fussing), she smiled and said to me, ‘isn’t this stage great? all they do is sleep.’ i looked at her, with my unshowered self, my ever-present stress eye-twitch in full swing, and said, ‘yeah, it’s great….’
