I am currently a full-time SAHM.
I worked for 4 years as a high school English teacher in an all-girls prep/boarding school before this, and quit when my daughter was about 1 1/2. I honestly believed that staying home would be easier! Grading all those papers and keeping up with some really driven students was so stressful. However, she went through the worst of her reflux when I was working, and I really had no idea how hard it would have been to be with her 24/7.
It is so much more difficult this time around, that’s for sure. Almost makes me wish for for all those research papers to grade again!!
And I would LOVE some adult conversation – without anyone spitting up on me.
