I have waxed lyrically about this on quite a few posts and thought I might condense my thoughts here, in case someone in the future does a search for it.
I do not work for the company
this is just based on my personal experience having used the syrup and the efferdose.
Zantac efferdose or effervescent tablet dissolves in water and has a lemony/citrus flavour. There is a study to suggest children prefer it.

Of course it doesn’t sound like the most sound research study I have ever read, but it makes intuitive sense…try them both and see what you think
In Aus it comes as a tablet, I think in US it is a packet (which might make it a little harder to divide up the dose?) or maybe a tablet option.
I started with the syrup…which has alcohol and a very funny peppermint taste. Alana took it OK but I just felt that afterwards maybe she had a stomach upset. So we tried the efferdose. I would put it in the teat of her bottle with a little water and let it dissolve and then give it to her (followed by her normal bottle) and she would suck it down, no probs. I didn’t feel she reacted to it at all. In fact I think it helped her burp a little and of course they were nice and citrusy fresh. I am sure you could use a syring/dropper for babies who don’t take the bottle.
Anyhow… this is just my personal experience…but if you aren’t happy with the syrup know that there is an alternative and ask your DR if you can give it a try.
