I know that zegerid is an instant release medication but is it ok if I give it to my son and then he doesnt eat for a couple of hours. Also can I give it to him not on an empty stomach? Does anyone know?Thanks.

are you on the 20 mg packs or the 40 mg packs?

He is on the 20 mg packets. Im not sure how he is doing on them. He has been acting a little different today.Hopefully he is just not feeling well today. So even if he ate only half an hour ago I could give him the medication?

Im am wondering about the dose . marci-kids reccommends 7-9 mg three times per day, which is what Im doing. Did your daughter have any reactions to the zegerid like gas or cramps? Do you split your dosage to make it three times perday? Your little girl is on much more than my little boy. Hopefully I will know what to do. Does your little girl seem to sleep well. Mine does not. I have to work at keeping him asleep for his nap. Oh well. sometimes I wonder if the medications are doing something at all. He has good days and bad days still. sometimes he eats good and sometimes he doesnt. Oh well, someday this will all be in the past.

its a boy
the dosing for the 40 mg packs is different. if he were on the 20 pack, he would be on about 33 mg a day.
he gets it in 3 doses. his sleeping is bad as of this month, because he needs his dose adjusted…
