My son keeps waking up at 3 a.m. and screaming in pain – he’s not hungry, won’t eat (or has usually just eaten an hour before, actually). I have some Pepcid Complete that I purchased a few weeks ago “just in case”. This seems like a good “just in case” situation! But I don’t know how to give it to him. He’ll be 16 weeks on Monday and exclusively breastfeeds. Do I mix it with X amount of water and administer it with a syringe? If so, how much water? I’ve tried Mylanta with him, but his belly doesn’t tolerate it very well.
Any info./advice would be welcome! By the way, I’m already giving him more of his Prilosec dose than the doctor prescribed (they are very conservative with it, but have given me permission to increase as necessary based on his symptoms). I’m just trying to get us to his 4-month check up when I’ll discuss that he really seems to be “outgrowing” his dose.
