ok TELLl your dr that the upper GI showed that there are no structural abnormalities, thank god! AND it showed that she did not reflux at the TIME OF THE TEST. So, you are now requesting a referral to a ped GI. THANK YOU.

Well thankfully it didnt have to go that far, however it was bad enough that it took for her to have one of her choking episodes for him to FINALLY prescribe her Zantac. Now it’s just seeing if it is the right dose per Marci Kids
I know you’re busy so I’ll summarize
:peds often go by DIFFERENT dosing guidelines than ped GIs.So, it does not come as any great surprise if your doctor told you your baby should have less zantac than what you baby can have…but, you also say your dr said 18 twice a day, so that’s 18 + 18 = 36 and that’s what you came up with, 36 (well 36.6).so, you and your doctor are on the same pagethis is for ZANTAC now, right? lol.You should give the zantac two times a day.when you get a moment, read through the linkto get an idea of when to give the medsyesyou can split 2.5 into two doses and you can do it any which way:1.25 + 1.25or 1 & 1.5 at nightYou can also get mylanta cherry supreme- this is the kind to get- it’s the adult kind- no aluminum listed as an ingredient-if you can’t find the mylanta brand, look for store brand equivalent- look for one with no aluminum you can give this with the zantac and you can give up to 2.5mls a day-if you see loose stools, back offWhen you get a chance:please go to the upper right–hand corner of this screen and click on ‘Settings‘ and, from there, you can edit your Signature and let us know how old baby is (can be month & year), name (or nickname if you prefer), breastfeeding, TED diet (or what you’re eating), what meds and what doses and form of meds and how you’re administering-thanks
