I do want to know if she has normal bowel movements if that means she does not have MSPI/MFPIES? I am trying to figure out why she has some really bad reflux days??? I really don’t want to do TED if her reflux is only LES related.
It is my educated guess that if her reflux was controlled then her Sandifer’s would lessen/go away…so if you are giving the 15mgs ‘properly’ and after 2wks of taking it, she still exibits Sandifer’s then I would think about requestinga dose increase, using the Sandifer’s as your basis for the request…it is also my educated guess, that if her stools are normal & she doesn’t have excema, then perhaps it is not mspi…I’m not 100% sure, but i don’t think I’ve read about normal stools (from a breastfed baby who is not eating solids) having mspi- but I really cannot say this definitively…so, what I might do is see if an increased dose helps & if timing the meds helps, and, if it doesn’t, then perhaps try the TED…you also just might want to start a food journal and see if what you are eating is affecting her- so if you eat tomato sauce at lunch at 12:00 and then after the feed(s) that is 3-5 hours later she is really refluxing or irritable, etc then you can think it’s the tomato…it’s a lot of trial & error…
