For those of you who give your baby 3 doses of a PPI per day… how do you space it out?

My son is not yet sleeping through the night, although he only wakes up once to eat and only takes a small amount. I do not want to give him meds throughout the night.

Is it feasible to space all 3 doses out throughout the day? Or is that too short of a time between the doses?

We only do 2 doses for that very reason and the fact that we have to wait 30 min before feeding so if you have the 2 dose option I would do that, but that is just myopinion.

Do you know how far apart the doses must be given?

If I were you (& I’m not you, LOL) I would give the 2.5mls of properly compounded prilosec 3x a day. actually, I would (& I am not in any way telling you to do this, because I am not a medical professional, & I suggest you have a dr that is on the same page as you) figure out 3mgs per kilo and give THAT dose, split into 3x a day- 1rst thing in the am, around 3 or 4pm and then 7pm

thanks, I wasn’t sure if there had to be a specific spacing between doses.
