InactiveI know that isn’t unheard of at this early of an age but I am so suprised!!
Cooper has been a drooly thing for the past month or so and constantly had his hands in his mouth. I thought it was just because he had found them, but he was really going to town on them! Then the other day he let out this scared cry and threw his arms out in the air- of course my first thought was reflux. I was able to calm him down and just chalked it up to nothing. Then the next morning he would not stop screaming. I gave him a shot of axid just to rule it out- still screaming. I got to feeling around on his gums and sure enough, a little sharp point off to the side on the bottom. He about came out of his skin when I touched it!!
A good dose of tylenol and some numby stuff and he finally crashed. Of course now I have to see if the corn syrup in the tylenol will bother him since I am guessing he will be needing it daily for a while…This little guy is on his own schedule!! I am just glad he has gotten a nice vacation from reflux at least, poor little guy!!

InactiveWell the advantage to early teething is that you get it over with sooner.
Myles has 16 teeth already because he cut his early too, though not as early as your little guy.April 24, 2007 at 7:51 pm #31372Anonymous
InactiveIsn’t it a great feeling when you can FIGURE out what the problem is? I’ve had so many “it must be reflux” nights when all of a sudden, baby orajel does wonders and the light bulb goes on above my head!!! I hope the tooth completely erupts soon so he’s not in too much pain!

InactiveOh yes, I reverted to the “it must be reflux” many a time with Jackson, now 3… One night I stayed up all night with him in our guest bed and held him because he would not stop crying!! Then next day- two little white toothies!
Christine- I hope you’re right, that it will go quickly!! 16 teeth- what a little chomper!!!

Way to go Cooper!April 25, 2007 at 2:03 pm #31428Anonymous
InactiveYou are lucky to get the teeth over with. Brianna only has 6 so far, and just the other day, one of her molars started breaking the skin..forget the other front teeth, she is just movin on!

Inactiveshanes 1st tooth came in around 3 or 4 months too! now he has 7 in and the 8th is almost through..and the ped. said his molar is now coming in too! soooo, GET READY! his teeth might just start popping it one after another too! so remind yourself that it may not be the reflux why he is cranky so much, but the teething! when i think back on it now after typing this.. my son probably has been teething every day since he was your sons age (in order to have 7 teeth in 6 months!) . and i never even thought about it.. i’ve always said.. gosh he is a clingy baby!

InactiveMan, what a bunch of little early birds!!!

I’ve got my eye out for more… this one must be chillin for a bit since I haven’t needed to give him tylenol today. I just wonder what his pictures are going to look like with one little snaggle-tooth off to the side!!

What a goober!Tina
