We are weaning our 13 month old off of Zegerid 40mg…he was on 5ml in am and 4ml in afternoon and pm. We are slowly weaning…taking it down every 2 weeks, he is now on 2ml 3 times a day.
After we decrease his dose…about 3 days after, he will get a tummy ache, appetite decreased and one or two days he will have hiccups all day…but then it seems to level out and go away….my question is do you know what I can give him over the counter that will help in these few days he is experiencing the acid rebound?
I already tried cherry mylanta supreme….does nothing for it.

quick dissolve tums (adult kind)…

or, if baby has teeth (mine did, lol), I just broke a ‘regular’ tums into 4 pieces and let baby eat it
