InactiveAnn Marie,
I’m so sorry to hear about the horrible reaction to the shot for Carter! I completely understand the statement of the second child being so much easier than the first. We are the experiencing the same thing here, Taylor has her mutliple issues and is by far a “normal” baby since she doesn’t like to eat it is a chore to feed her yet she is so much easier than Alexis ever was! DH and I have picked out our retirement vacation spots too that these girls have to send us to since they truly do owe it to us as well, especially me!

InactiveThanks Sue,
I don’t think I ever gave my mother this much trouble. At least not until I was 15 or so
.I am so glad that you are getting to enjoy Taylor as well. Can you believe that Carter is almost 6 months and Taylor is almost 5 months?! Time goes so fast!!!

InactiveAnn Marie, you really are amazing. I’m so sorry that Carter has had so much trouble with his immunizations.
We’ve found the same thing with our second baby. Her challenges are really different from Kaelyn’s, but she has definitely been easier to deal with.
My dad says that I totally earned my reflux babies. Apparently I screamed at least 6 hours a day for the first 9 months of my life.

InactiveOMG, we totally had the opposite… I never knew how hard having a baby could be until Hailey came along! Now, in retrospect, I’m glad I didn’t know, or I might not have had the guts to go through with it. She has been such a challenge, but has also enriched my life so much, and is such a blessing to our family.
Ann Marie & Sue- So funny about the retirement spots… I also make this joke to dh! We have video footage of Hailey during her more trying moments that we used to take to the doctor to show them that something was wrong. Instead of erasing it, we kept it… not sure whether to use it as guilt if they ever try and place us in a nursing home, or to show them when they’re teenagers as a deterrent for pre-marital sex!!

InactiveThanks Kim,
Hopefully Alexandra isn’t giving you too much trouble, and I was a good baby so I must have earned this from my teenage years
!Hey Lori,
Dylan was definitely birth control for our teenage babysitter when he was so bad! She just left for college, so now we have to start looking agin.

InactiveI wasn’t this much trouble for my mother, but it was truly my teenage years! My mom tells me I quite a little piggy as a baby, I would want to drink 8oz bottles so fast that I would end up throwing it all up since I was such a piggy. Yep, birth control these 2 are it, we are definitely not going to try for a boy. My DH can not set up the appt to have a vasecetomy fast enough!

InactiveOh Sue, we are definitely ALL DONE as well!
We love them to death, but I have my hands full enough.I had my tubes removed to do the IVF cycles, so NO chance here…..

InactiveI’ve been begging dh to go get “snipped”, but he acts like it’s the end of the world! I think he’s just postponing the inevitable. I love my girls, but definitely no more over here!

InactiveI guess Alexandra really isn’t all that bad because I’m actually holding out hope that we’ll somehow be able to afford a third. I’m reluctant to do anything permanent because I keep holding out hope that I’ll win the lottery or somehow come into some other money so we can have another.

InactiveThat’s great, Kim! If Carter was my first (minus the reaction episode) I would definitly have considered more, or hoped for twins on the second cycle. Big families are great, but my sanity wouldn’t hold out for any more

InactiveWe’re not likely to have anymore. Daycare for the two of them is already more than our mortage. But, a girl can dream!

I feel the same way…Ari is almost definitely ‘it’ for us; we so cannot afford any more…ah, to fall into a fortune somehow…*sigh*September 11, 2006 at 11:32 am #13343Anonymous
InactiveI found my first gray hair 2 weeks ago and I just found another today! Definitely no more kids for us or I’ll be completely gray by the time I’m 40! People would think I’m the girl’s grandma not their mother at this rate!

InactiveSue, your first!?!? I think I have hundreds!!!! And I’m only 33!

InactiveI tell you, love these kids, but they really owe us when they are old enough to understand. Hopefully they won’t be such a handful as teenagers since they are so hard as infants! Wishful thinking my DH tells me!
