Anyone have experience with Nexium?

Me again, yet another med question … still struggling HUGELY every day with Holly to take her Losec, have talked to the GI nurse who says the only other option is Nexium, she doesn’t think it will be any different but I’m wondering if it is worth a try … anyone know if it tastes as bad as Losec (aka Prilosec)?? She had NO trouble whatsoever taking the Prevacid, so I know all PPI’s can’t taste this bad …

I have heard of adults taking Nexium but not aware of any kids. What kind of form does it come in? Maybe they have a sample and you could taste it yourself and see? Or give her a taste and see? Losec is disgusting,, isn’t it!!!

Aidan was on Nexium right before her fundo, and the only form we were given was the capsules. I had to take them apart and put the medicine in food. It didn’t do any better than the Prevacid, and I was told was a last resort for babies Aidan’s age. She was actually put on an adult’s dosage of it (the same I was on while pregnant with her).
