InactiveI just wanted to post to say that we are doing well! I am so thankful that I found this forum. I learned so much about reflux and how to help it and it is finally paying off.
Henry is such a happy contented baby! Who knew there was happiness under all that screaming? He naps well. Sleeps through the night. Praise God!
I think a lot of factors are playing into our current success. He is doing well on the prevacid solutabs. He is eating some solid food. He is now on hypoallergenic formula (instead of very strict elimination breastfeeding). He sits up independently, so spends a lot less time on his back. He takes the probiotics. We prayed a lot! So I’m not sure what the key was, but everything is coming together.
Thank you for your advise and encouragement through the bad times!
Ruby

InactiveYea for Henry and for you too!! I love the stories in this section because they give such encouragement to those whose situations may not be too good at the time. I know it is hard for people to hear “it will get better” but it does, it really does!! Just have to find the right combination of everything and a bit of prayer certainly doesn’t hurt a bit – I think I’ve talked to Him more than my husband over the past 4 months
(oh maybe not, even though my husband has worked every day for the past 40 days but that is something for the boo-hoo section)Horray for you!!

InactiveHi Ruby,

That’s terrific news!

Thanks so much for posting. I’ve thought about you and Henry many times and hoped that all was well. I’m so happy to hear that Henry is feeling better.

InactiveHi Ruby!
Just thought this might sound like a coincidence, but I was reading up on some older posts and found a bit about you. It’s really strange, but my sons name is Henry. He’s almost 15 mths. We also did fertility. We tried for 6 years to get pregnant and finally did invito. These kids are such complete miracles aren’t they??? My Henry has such horrible GERD. We are finally now figuring him out:)
I felt compelled to share my story with you. Henry is not that common of a name. Not to mention all the other things we have in common

InactiveAmy,
You are right, we have a lot in common. I hope for you that soon we will have in common Henrys who are both recovered from GERD!
