Aiden just had another appointment in Boston to discuss the results of his sleep study and do another modified barium swalloe. The swallow srudy was better although he was still penetrating his airway. They suggested we tried thin liquids again and it was absolutely horrible, Spitting up a ton, crying and choking again. We are thickening again
. His last sleep study showed minor obstructive sleep apnea but this one showed moderate. It was recommended that he have surgery. I asked the ent what surgery he would have and he said we would have to go in and take another look. I was hoping to get rid of his oxygen monitor but I guess not. In May, we will repeat the sleep study and go from there. He has laryngomalacia/tracheomalacia but they have said those are very minor. What could be making this get worse?
We are also being sent to an allergist which I have wanted for a long time. His face actually swelled when we gave him rice cereal and he is always so rashy. Hopefully, they can figure out what else is bothering him.
Hope everyone else is doing well. Haven’t written in a while because I have returned to work. Just 15 hours a week but it feels as if I have no time.
