I think I’m going to actually do that. I heard of another specialist in Annapolis that I may try, and she’s also going for her 4 month check up on Tuesday, so I’m going there armed w/ the Marci-kids info and maybe he can help. Otherwise, maybe we’ll have to look for a new pediatrician too!

Ok, so they’ve finally agreed to let her take a whole solutab in the am and a 1/2 in the pm! I just gave it to her, and now almost feel guilty for pushing so much, for some reason. I know my daughter doesn’t have the worst case of GERD by far, but she is still having pain, gurgling, spitting up, and making those throat noises, so hopefully this will do the trick! Thanks so much to everyone for all the help & input on this…I’ll keep you posted as to how it goes!

Congratulations! I’m so glad they’re letting you try a higher dose! Good luck with it, and let us know how she does with it.

That’s great news. I hope she does better on the increased dose. And don’t feel guilty for pushing her doctor. You live with her and care for her 24/7. Her doctor doesn’t. I felt kind of embarrassed about pushing Myles’ doctor about his dose, but once he was on a high enough dose she never heard from me again (except for well baby visits) because IT WORKED!! ndrose2007-1-5 20:23:49
