Hi all. I am new to the forum. My daughter is 3 1/2 mos old and has silent reflux and is on zantac 3x a day 1ml each time. She has been sleeping in her car seat since she was 3 weeks old and I want to put her in her crib but I don’t know how and I don’t know how to stop her from sliding down the crib. She sleeps in her seat the whole night for the past 3 weeks which from what I heard is really good for a reflux baby. I think it’s time for her to be in her crib (I can see her trying to stretch in the car seat and she is trying to go on her side but can’t.) I’ve tried the bassinet but she will cry as soon as I put her down so Iknow teh crib will be worse. I bought the wedge to elevate the mattress (but that’s not high enough so I’m going to add to it) and I was considering purchasing the tucker sling but have heard mixed rviews and their site is claiming that it won’t be delivered for 2-3 weeks. Any advice on the transition?

how much does your baby weigh? I can help you figure out proper zantac dose…for car seat- put car seat IN the crib so she’s used to being in there…then try putting her in the crib w/o the seat for a nap…you can also try putting her on her tummy for a nap- watch her- put a beanie baby or something similar on her back and then you can watch it go up & down & know she’s breathingMay 27, 2011 at 1:39 pm #68437AnonymousInactiveThanks Laura. At her last checkup 2 weeks ago she was 10 15. Starting this weekend I am going to start putting the seat in her crib for naptime but I’m still weary about putting her in the crib. I guess it’s because i know she’s not going to stay!

that’s 4.5 kilosmaximum zantac dose by weight is 10mgs per kiloso 4.5 x 10 = 45that’s 45 mgs a day of zantacyour zantac is liquid & the bottle says 15mgs/mlthat means for every one ml of liquid your baby is getting 15mgs of zantacso 45 divided by 15 = 3that’s 3mls a day of zantacso your doctor is on the ball w/ zantac, at leastI have a LOT to say and most of it’s here, in a link called ‘groupie intro.‘
it’s looong but TRULY will help you- read through it, refer back to it, scroll through it/skim through it. You’ll find yourself coming back to it!
