InactiveI found some not so pretty websites on the history of my computer and I am trying to figure out if it was my sister or husband who has been looking at them. Is there a way to figure out what time they were looked at? Thanks.

InactiveUsually if you go to HISTORY on your web browser it will tell you the time/date of the visit to the website. I know we’ve had to check that at school sometimes to see which students could have been accessing the info. Eeek! Good luck!

InactiveI can’t get a time to come up. I also can’t get a hold of my husband to see if it was him. It was porn that was being looked at. It is hard wheter it was my husband or sister, but I am really hopeing it was my sister. I just can’t deal if it was my husband again. Not only that, but now I think my boys have hand foot and mouth disease. Luke has been sick and his gums are swollen and bleeding. I took him to the dr. yesterday and the dr wasn’t sure what was going on with his gums. Well, Justice was up for 2 hours last night and now today he has a blister on the inside of his lip. UGH!!!!!!!!! Why must it all happen at once?

I was not my husband.
Now of course, I have to figure out how to talk to my sister.
I was hopeing to put off this kind of talk until my boys were older. She is 13 so she is at the age where she is curious. Please pray for me to know what to say. I am completly clueless.July 14, 2007 at 1:09 pm #39219Anonymous
InactiveI am proud of the fact that you know what is going on in computer enough to catch something like that. I have two older boys so I have to watch my computer very closely. I know that some parents or family members just don’t care what these kids look at. Oh and I am sorry about the hand foot and mouth disease. Hopefully they will get thru it pretty quick.

Keymastershellby,
there is a GREAT book called Changing Bodies Changing Livesthat is good for teenagers. I STILL have mine! It’s by the same people who wrote Our Bodies Ourselves (book for women- if you haven’t looked at it, I recommend getting it from the library…)Basically what I would say (of course this is me, not you) is something along the lines about our bodies having private parts & ‘public’ parts- talk about public places- that means places everyone can go to like the mall, parks, etc & private places are our houses, cars, etc…then I’d go into private & public body parts. When I have this talk w/ little kids at school, i’m silly about it & ask about noses, shoulders, elbows, toes, etc. these things are public- the whole world can see our toes in sandals, our elbows in short sleeves, our knees in shorts, etc. The places that are private are what is covered by a bathing suit- for boys its the shorts area and for girls it’s breasts & shorts area…I’d go on from there…that no one should see our private parts except for close family (mother, caretakers who can give us a bath, siblings, etc) and doctors AND when we’re at the doctors’ office, we usually are with someone (family) who can see our private parts AND you’re never left alone with anyone- there’s a nurse w/ the doctor, etc…let me know if you want more, lol…July 14, 2007 at 2:24 pm #39228Anonymous
InactiveShelby,
I answered your other post….it may be herpes, not hand/foot/mouth. When my girls had it the docs were very confused as well. One doc guessed immediately that it was herpes, but he said it could have been hand/foot/mouth as well. Evidently these illnesses can be similar so it’s not always easy to diagnose. As you can see from the link above, these viruses are nasty. The first outbreak is horrible in infants and toddlers and can involve the entire inside of the mouth, tongue, gums. I really feel for your little ones because my girls both had it and it was horrible. If they are in a lot of pain you can ask for tylenol with codeine. It helped my girls when they had it. I hope it’s a mild case for both of them and that it passes soon.July 15, 2007 at 10:03 am #39261Anonymous
InactiveThanks ladies. I had the talk with my sister and I think it went well. Sadly last night my husband decided to tell me he had also looked at another site himself. This is the second time with him and I just don’t feel like I can take it anymore. I know I might take it a little more seriously than most women, but I feel as though I have been cheated on. I finally started to trust him again. If I had some place to go and the boys weren’t sick I think I would pack up and leave. I want him to understand how much he has hurt me. I want him to understand what a good wife I am. Okay, I won’t go on.
As far as the boys being sick. Can they have fevers with the herpes thing? It might be that since I have a cold sore right now maybe I have passed it to them some how. I thought I was being careful though, but maybe I wasn’t. The pictures don’t really look like what they have, but I’m sure it can all look so different.July 15, 2007 at 10:19 am #39263Anonymous
InactiveYes, they can have a fever just due to the Herpes, but they can also have some other kind of virus going on that’s causing the fever, and then that causes the herpes outbreak; so in other words the Herpes is secondary to the underlying infection. The Herpes virus stays dormant in your body and will often become active when you are sick or run down. It’s super easy to spread this stupid virus. I even read that you can spread it when you don’t even have a sore yourself. So, just sharing a cup, or giving your child a bite of something you are eating can do it. What mom doesn’t share her food with her child? So don’t feel bad. My kids probably got it from me. I used to get cold sores constantly, but when Liza had her first outbreak I did not have a sore. The pictures on that link are of a severe case. Luke may fortuntaley have a more mild case. Ugg…Liza woke up with a sore this morning….
I hate this darn virus.
About the porn and your dh, I understand how you feel completley. My dh used to look at porn and he hid this from me until I found out. I was mortified and I felt like he had betrayed me and that he may as well have cheated on me. It just makes you feel like you are not good enough and that your dh is wishing you looked like the women in the porn pictures. There’s no place for porn in a married man’s life. It’s sinful imo for any man. I hope you can get him to understand how it hurts you. My dh still does not understand but he did give it up, so I can’t complain. I hope your dh will give it up too.July 16, 2007 at 11:32 am #39315Anonymous
InactiveThank you all again. At this point Christine, I think you might be right about it being herpes. I have looked into it and it all makes sense especially since I am just getting over a cold sore. I think Justice just might have a milder case since he is breastfeed and he is getting my immunity to the virus. Not sure though.
Sadly, I may not be able to be on here for awhile due to the porn thing. I am hidding the thing that goes into the computer that makes the internet work. So, that makes it a little harder for me to get on here too. I am working on getting the software where noone can see that kind of stuff anymore. I have also gotten an apt for our cable to be shut off. We will have basic, but not the other stuff. I am doing my best to take away all temptation. My husband was doing good for so long and then fell back into it. I don’t think I will ever understand it, but I am going to try to talk to a man that spoke at our church about how he used to be into porn. Maybe he could help me to understand better than my husband can. Everything that comes out of my husbands mouth just makes it worse. I am also hopeing to talk to the mans wife. Hopefully that will help too. Again thank you ladies and hopefully I won’t be gone too long.July 16, 2007 at 1:32 pm #39324Anonymous
InactiveShelby – I am so sorry to hear you’re going through this. I know how upset and disappointed you are. I hate that you have to turn off your internet for a while cause we’re going to miss you! I hope everything will work out. I think talking to the man from your church sounds like a great idea. GOOD LUCK!!
