Dannon Fruit on the Bottom yogurts are the one’s my dietician reccommends as they contain the least sugar. Most of the other brands have so much sugar you may as well give her a cookie instead!
My guess is that if the daycare is providing the crackers, they are probably serving her white crackers which are basically junk food/empty calories. I buy whole grain crackers for my kids and they love them. Perhaps you can check the whole foods dept in your grocery store for them. The brand I buy is called KASHI, but there are probably others whole grain brands, too.
You can also send whole grain cereals for her like Cheerios, or Puffed Wheat. Also, Gerber makes some yummy dried fruits; you find them in the baby food department. I think they are called Gerber Graduate MiniFruits. My four year old and two year old love them and still eat them! The Veggie Puffs are good too.
My girls both ate cottage cheese at 9 months and did fine with it.
My little guy isn’t at the finger food stage yet, so I haven’t been thinking along those lines lately, but those are some of the things I remember my girls loved that I think you could easily send to daycare. I’m sure other moms will have lots of suggestions for you.
