InactiveSome babies have problems with the lactose in the solutabs. Are you using the solutabs? My son had tummy aches from the Prevacid Solutabs the first week, but it seems his body adjusted and he no longer has any problems with them, but he does not have any food sensitivities/intolerances.
Does your ds have any food sensitivities/intolerances?

InactiveSome people have reported cramps/gas pain as a side effect of the prevacid. Hopefully they will post. I think they said that for the most part, those symptoms disappeared after a while. Sorry I can’t be more helpful. Hailey has also had nasty gas since starting prevacid!!!

Keymasterpowder kind: some react to the strawberry flavoring…
it seems that with all changes, 2wks seems to be the amount of time to see what changes…

If your baby is prescribed a PPI (prilosec/prevacid/nexium), it can take a while to ‘kick in.’ It can take up to 2 weeks for the PPI to ‘kick in’, so in the meantime, many of our babies have continued w/ the zantac. The prilosec kicked in for Jonah on day 12. So, you’ll probably want to [read: SHOULD] keep your baby on zantac until the PPI kicks in bcse otherwise, it’s as if your baby isn’t on any meds at all. I learned this the HARD WAY!

InactiveWe have tried the powder and solutab prevacid and both times Isaac had horrible gas and stomach pains. We ended up switching medicines both times.

Keymasterseems every switch takes about 2 wks…if they’re still uncomfortable in 2wks, you can try the solutabs, then 2wks later you can ask for compounded prevacid- just make sure to ask (demand) that it’s done a certain way….
maybe it’s the fomula? have you read about mspi?
