InactiveOk, I just wanted to vent about this. I found the “Johnson’s Bedtime Cream” on ebay that I love to use on Dagney at night time. (They apparently aren’t selling it anymore in stores, they just have the Bedtime lotion, which is just too strong and perfumey smelling for me). So I ordered 3 bottles in a “buy it now” auction on 8 May, and I still haven’t gotten it!! The thing is, it was a “reputable” seller with almost 99% positive feedback!! All I got was a receipt from Paypal saying my payment was accepted, and I’ve gotten nothing else, and no replies to my 4 emails I’ve sent through ebay! I’m SO mad that someone would do this! This is actually the 2nd time a “reputable” seller has stolen my money and not sent anything! I opened a dispute throughpaypal yesterday, which hopefully will do something, but if not, then I can escalate it, and hopefully get my money back from paypal. Luckily I paid through paypal and sent all my emails through ebay, so at least I have proof there.
Has this happened to anyone else here?

InactiveOh, yes! Lucky for you that you used Paypal.
I bought $100+ worth of Alimentum. The person had no complaints on their feedback, but they kept e-mailing me that the formula was “in the mail” or once it was “I forgot, will send it off tomorrow”, finally I wrote negative feedback on their site, and filed a claim through paypal and no one really contacted me, they just refunded my money in full!

Hopefully this is what happens for you.
There is a place that you can check the status of your claim in the place that you filed your report. There is a place for messages and it will show if the seller has responded or it will say refund pending.
Hope this helps and hope you get your money back!
I order all of Owen’s formula off E-bay, very scary for me b/c I end up spending hundreds of dollars and send it off to who knows where and hope for the best!
We don’t qualify through insurance or for any other sort of help, so I have to find ways to make it affordable for us and it was getting out of control at Target, it was $37 a can. So I went to e-bay…… I was leery at first, but it has worked so far……..

InactiveThis happened to me once with 8 cases of Neocate!!! I can not tell you how Pi**$$ I was. It turned out the person I bought from had a parent in the hospital, and had put someone else on sending it. They had mixed up the addresses and put mine as the return and hers as the send to. When she returned, she felt AWFUL, and sent it overnight and refunded my shipping charges.
Sometimes it is a legitimate error, so hang in there and just keep trying…..
I would make the complaint, though and escalate it if need be.
Good Luck!

InactiveThat happened to me too! It was awful bc the woman that I was dealing with told me that if I filed negative feedback on her, she would do the same to me!!!!!!! I finally got my item but it was some cream for Addy and the lady got so nasty with me through the paypal claim process that I was scared to use it on Addy and just ended up throwing it away (it wasn’t sealed when I got it and you never know what people these days will do!).
This lady had 99% positive feedback too. And she never would respond to my emails until I finally opened a claim! Maybe its the same lady and everyone she messes with is scared to give her negative feedback!

InactiveYes, I’ve been burned a few times by ebay sellers.
Once I paid for a dvd using a money order and they never sent it and would not answer any of my emails. Fortunately it was only $20, but I’ll never pay with a money order for anything on ebay again. Most of the other bad experiences revolved around receiving broken or poor quality items. I think there are a lot of unscrupulous people on ebay. Didi you ever notice these sellers who seem to have scores of Gymboree, Old Navy, Gap, or other name brand children’s clothes – all NEW WITH TAGS?? I’m not usually suspcious by nature but I think some of these people are stealing these items and then selling them on ebay.

InactiveOh, I just found the scam seller’s ID. He has a 96 rating now!
indigospiritchild is her ID and her name is Judy…watch out!!!!!!
I agree Christine…it is very strange! I have a few favorite sellers that I buy gently used clothes from and it has worked out great! I actually just bought the cutest pair of BabyGap shoes last night for 7.99! And they look brand new! I love a great deal.

InactiveUGH!! It’s so frustrating! I’m still waiting to hear, so I won’t post the seller’s name yet, but once it’s resolved or done, I’ll be sure to post the name!! (It’s not the one you mentioned…)

InactiveI disputed through Paypal once, for an item I paid for but didn’t recieve. They found in my favour, but said there was no way they could recoup my costs from her. TOOTHLESS TIGER!!!!!

InactiveI bought a Baby Bjorn carrier from a seller on Ebay after asking specific questions about certain features of it. When I received it, it was not the one shown in the picture and the features were wrong. I tried contacting the seller, even requesting the seller’s phone number from Ebay, but never could reach her. I submitted a claim through PayPal and not only received a full refund but was told to keep the Baby Bjorn carrier. (I turned around and sold it on Ebay – properly described, of course.)
I am a regular buyer on Ebay – formula, baby clothes, children’s toys, etc. – and also a regular seller. I always use PayPal to protect me in all of my transactions. One thing, though, that I have recently learned is that I probably should buy through one Ebay ID and sell through a 2nd Ebay ID. That way if there are any negative feedbacks on one ID (hopefully that never happens), it won’t affect the other ID.

InactiveSo I wonder why I didn’t get a refund then. I wondered at the time but it was only about $30 so I didn’t get to fussed I suppose. Do you have a time limit to when you put in a claim. I waited weeks for this lady to contact me before I put in a claim.

InactiveI WON MY CLAIM AND THEY GAVE ME MY MONEY BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I won it today because the seller never even responded to Paypal!! They credited my credit car right away and I posted negative feedback for the seller. He still has good % of positive, but there are several negative feedbacks similar to mine. His name is: PMSI_MED and he sells a lot of lotions etc.
That’s a good idea to buy under 1 id and sell under another…
I’m not sure why you wouldn’t have gotten your money back from the seller, unless they weren’t guaranteed thru paypal or something…I think you only have about 45 days to file a claim, has it been longer than that? It’s so frustrating, you should be able to get it back whenever. I will definitely use PayPal from now on–last year I sent a money order b/c my PayPal account was messed up, and the person never sent the item either, but I had no way of getting my money back.

InactiveCongrats for getting your money back.
I think it was longer than 45 days, I was trying to give them the benfit of the doubt. Oh well, I’ll know better next time
